B2B Brand Building: From Start-ups to Enterprise

Launching a new brand, no matter the scale, is quite the undertaking. Having started and sold numerous companies early in his career, David began to apply those experiences to a slightly more visible brand launch: Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. David will be discussing all of these experiences--successes and failures--and how those experiences have shaped what he's doing today at one of the world's largest (and newest) B2B brands.
Mr. Sung currently serves as Director, WW Small & Medium Business Marketing Tower & Appliances.
Background- senior executive with a unique combination of business/technology strategy and operations experience with an investment background. For over 20 years, roles include product Dev/Ops, product management and technology business development in a number of early, mid stage and IPO companies. Also, 8 years as a Managing Director or General Partner in venture capital.
Previously, Mr. Sung was the EVP Product Development at QTS, VP IP Cloud and Business Development Internap Network Services. Managing Director at H.I.G. Capital, and was a Partner of Commonwealth Capital Ventures. He also co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Networks and Co-Founder of Cadia Networks. He served as Executive Officer for Bytex Corporation. Mr. Sung also held engineering, marketing and executive management positions at Cascade Communications, Avici Systems, FORE Systems and Bytex Corporation.
Before this, he served as a Director of Ageia Technologies Inc. He served as a Director of Adscape Media, Inc. He served as a Director of Scentric Inc., since October 19, 2004.
Mr. Sung received his BS in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science at Northeastern University.
